great link:
the Atlanta metropolitan area shifted strongly Democratic compared to the previous presidential election, with Hillary Clinton being the first Democrat to win Henry County since 1980, and the first Democrat to win Gwinnett County and Cobb County since 1976
wrong, most 'Patriot support from Trump supporters' came from the fact liberals were bashing Brady and Kraft for 2 weeks because they dared to be friends with President Trump for many years. how did that work out for bigots like Shaun King and friends?
https://anonimag.es/i/lolbradya4bd7.pngHey I couldn't care less what random butthurt liberals say. Kinda like the moronic response that was bitching at Kanye for daring to meet with Trump (my theory is that it was primarily to ask him for money to fund his art as he's asked in the past, but that's irrelevant and idgaf what my favorite artists' political beliefs are).
The fact is that sports teams represent their city, state, and fan base. That is the most important relationship between fan and franchise by far, century-old heritage, much more important than what the political beliefs on one player on the team happen to be. The Boston Patriots represent a city, a state, a fan base, and a community primarily of wealthy, educated, white liberals. Just as my own city's sports teams fundamentally represent blue collar working class Rust Belt people. The community becomes a fundamental part of the franchise, which is partially why the Pats are seen as synonymous with educated elitism (on top of their storied dominance).
Point being sports team history and heritage runs deep, much deeper than the individual players on the team at any given moment, and certainly much deeper than the reactionary responses from the past week of a bunch of whiny rands. So to claim the Patriots are somehow a victory for Trump supporters is short-sighted and narcissistic at best, and the opposite of the truth at worst. This is a victory for the America that voted for Hillary Clinton, the America that believes in science, for Harvard, for MIT.
Nah but really it's just a football game LEL
