if there was something there the NYT would gone buckwild with it. or let us guess, Japan is in cahoots with Russia to rig things by negotiating some deal to sell clothes and women's accessories going back to 2014.

Well, other than the slate of quid pro quo Cabinet appointments, you've got the Russian government maintaining contact with the Trump camp during the campaign http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-election-russia-trump-idUSKBN1351RJ, McConnell refusing to release information about Russian interference with the election process back in September, then having his wife appointed as SecTrans. http://crooksandliars.com/2016/12/mitch-mcconnell-squelched-disclosure

Apparently nothing to see here.

so everything Interfax and RT says is 100% certified as the truth? if so, the world can then 86 the idea of them interfering in elections since the Russian government told them that they didn't do it.
you have an issue with an Asian woman being appointed to a cabinet position? sounds rather misogynist and racist.

Yeah, because deals that have been in the works can't be influenced by meetings that happen while the deal is still being negotiated.

They aren't going buckwild with it because they need to keep access, same with every establishment media outlet. Trump will largely get a pass his entire presidency because he's the one with power now. and he'll get it from both MSNBC and Fox news despite what people will tell you about one being liberal.

from your post it seemed to suggest that she attended the meeting then all of sudden had an exclusive deal in place to sell clothes with a govt-owned Japanese firm a few days later.
are you suggesting the NYT and MSNBC are worried their actions and rhetoric over the past 18 months has put them in a precarious position?

No, because they knew Trump could be president and pussy-footed over his issues like everybody else did. MSNBC did nothing as Joe Scarborough basically sucked Trump's dick every morning.

I mean hell, we have audio of Joe gushing about how much he loves Trump's family because a voicemail he left on Trump's private phone got leaked. MSNBC the "liberal" network, yet their most untouchable host is Joe Scarborough.

if thats how you see it. look you cried how President Obama wouldn't focus 100% on social justice issues for the last 8 years and will cry for the entire Trump administration about whatever happens. that's enitrely your prerogative.

Scarborough is a Republican on a liberal network. plenty of other talking heads at every other alphabet network (including Mika on Joe's very own show on MSNBC, not to mention the twin terrors Maddow and whatever the nu-male's name is that are on in the afternoons/evenings) effused daily praise on (C)linton. thats what the media does now. they sure as hell don't cover issues for either party or their candidates.

The simple act of not covering issues did Trump a MASSIVE favor. Trump didn't even win on economic issues on exit polling. They covered scandals, and they covered Hillary's e-mails more than any other Trump scandal.

They may have effused daily praise for Hillary (because she had a coherent framework for policy whereas Trump did not) but there wasn't anything near Joe. If Maddow had been caught heaping praise in a private voicemail, had given Hillary the interview questions to prepare for so she could seem competent, and basically worked the shaft throughout the entire election cycle there would have been hell to pay. Not so much when it's a right wing host on a left wing network.

i watched morning joe every morning for the entire cycle. by far the most scornful of HRC over the email scandal was Mika. it wasn't even close.

It's pretty funny how obvious it is that the critics of these shows don't actually watch them. They just take MSNBC as a boogey man who never says anything bad about democrats even though all data consistently shows even the most biased Liberal hosts are worlds ahead of the average conservative host in terms of fairness.

exit polling? Kerry is president based off exit polling.
so one guy on one network liked Trump. The vast majority of the rest of the tv and print media did their best to trip him up at every possible turn. besides which, does Joe Scarborough have that much influence? do liberals watching MSNBC in the morning look at him, listen to him, and say "you know what fuck it i'm voting for the Republican"?
you actually think a gay female anchor would have 'hell to pay' for strongly supporting (C)linton in the same fashion? ok
and lets not talk about getting questions to prepare in advance for things to look good, (C)linton got those for a debate or four with Bernie and even got his questions so she could provide a rebuttal to his expected response.
