it's not my fault that's the reality of it. Romney didn't lose any more support from this. the people that voted for Romney in 2012 and then were put off by his antics in 2016 will just be further put off.
he will get temporary 'cheerleading' from people and media groups which actually hate him, and then be in a political purgatory. a man without friends in both parties, similar to Barnie Sanders but without the national appeal. fortunately for Romney he's not up for re-election until 2024, and hey if Utah decides they don't like him he will probably carpetbag yet another seat somewhere else.
