Quite the opposite. This removes any acknowledgement that abortion is a federal issue whatsoever.
Thus, in States, where the citizens can directly vote on new laws (aka "measures"), and where State Constitutions can be Amended, abortion can actually be voted in and enshrined as a right.
I mean, if the assumption here is that "the majority" in any given state is in favor of abortion, this is precisely the kick in the ass the States need to recognize this "right" to murder unborn children.
What I would ask is that states like Illinois be more consistent. If you can face a second murder charge when killing a pregnant woman based on the "Intentional Homicide of an Unborn Child" then that would apply to every abortion doctor as well. Time to reexamine such things.
