i have stated before that i somehow dont believe brexit is even happening and my suspicions are growing with these news

It hasn't looked like it's happening for a long time. They're just trying to find a way to not have a few million people trash the country in anger. Apparently bore the tits off everyone is the order of the "day".

I stated like a month or more ago that brexit would be blocked by their parliament, by this way no one would directly take the blame.

well, those MPs who vote to cancel Brexit would take the blame. keep in mind that in the British political system, every member of the house of commons is directly elected in his or her district - and with 52% of the country voting in favor of brexit, we can assume that somehwere between 40% and 60% of districts have a majority in favor of Brexit. There would be TONS of MPs who would commit career suicide if they voted to kill the Brexit in parliament.

It's not about killing brexit, it's about killing the executive solution and give them the blame. Arguing it's too soft... Or even too hard lol doesnt matter.

A cowards game

thats why May is still in office, thats what her designated role is: the scapegoat who will be blamed for everything going wrong with brexit.

Considering Davis has already said this will be the end of his political career, I'd go with it's because they don't support a super soft brexit.

Tbh, no one on either side of the debate should support it. It's a mess. No idea why the tories decided May was the way to go, she was always a Remainer and now she's trapped herself in a corner, wanting to deliver a brexit without the brexit, which is the worst of both options.

Davis is quitting because he's principled in that regard, but Boris? He's the worst sort of person, a political opportunist and manipulator who doesn't care about anyone except himself. He is a disgrace.

Ending the free movement of people to curb immigration was one of the key reasons people voted Brexit, I think May has been pragmatic in the realisation that we won't get everything we want from the negotiations and has prioritised certain areas as a result. It's fantasy land to think we can get everything and taking that line will almost certainly result in a no deal scenario, which is far worse for us than for the EU.

I think Michael Gove would be a great choice for next PM as a prominent Brexiteer with a liberal streak. He could bring together both sides of the conservative party a lot better than May in my opinion. I'd really fear for the future of this country if either Boris and Rees-Mogg became PM, they are far too divisive and would make terrible leaders.

rees-mogg would all but guarantee that Corbyn is taking over soon. he's the embodiment of everything non-tories hate about the tories. if you asked someone to draw a caricature of every negative tory stereotype, you would get a picture of rees-mogg.

Yep, and he's also way further to the right of the mainstream.
