in an attempt at being helpful, my interpretation is as follows:

There are certain topic's which may not be discussed in these forums, and even to mention those topic constitutes a warn/suspension etc. therefore while this sub section is relatively free speech, it is only free speech in so far as to the allowed topic's, and aligns to the values of a minority (i.e. owners/moderators) or does not blatantly attack the held views of the, for want of a better expression, ruling elite. And otherwise you will get warn/suspension (even if you broke no rule).

and to bring it back to the original OP, the premise here (not championed by me, I am just provide the analogy) is that Kanya West will be, and is, ostracized for mentioning topic's that should not be mentioned.

my own view is Kanya West is unhinged, apologies if this does not sit well with people, but really he is far out there.

I'm thinking you're correct, but I don't understand the reference at all. Tyranny of minority is an interesting sounding concept, especially with "of abortion" slapped on the end.

again, just a guess, where there is a minority ruling body (say, in a company, politicians in a country, owners of a web site etc.) and they dictate the narrative, I presume this then equates to tyranny, where the few control the masses. following on: certain topic's are very divisive, and therefore I presume that Abortion, and topic's relating to same, on JSP, has been used as an example (of what can not be openly discussed).

i think thats what is being inferred.

this goes back to what I always say in this subforum : if you have a stated view, please be very clear sothat anyone can understand it. obviously there are alot of people that dont have a view, have an uninformed or immature view but what really grates is when people have a view but dont clearly state it.

Here is an example:
I am personally against abortion as a principal but I will vote for abortion sothat a woman will not be constrained by my personal view from doing what she feels she has to / needs to do. If my wife wants an abortion we would have a conversation like adults. all my conversations with my wife go as follows: she tells me what to do and i agree.

most people wont clearly state their view like that, for a variety of reasons (troll/fear/insert here reason).

My opinion on abortion is: Only fertility clinic staff members, who have also given birth, should be allowed to decide on the laws around abortion.
