Couple things

What specific right is being infringed. You can’t say freedom of speech, that protects you from the government and Kyrie has not been reprimanded by the government.

They aren’t being forced to choose between a pay check and freedoms. They can find another job if they don’t like the rules :)

I am not talking about this specific case. I am just speaking in general terms.

Mostly I want employees to be able to say unpopular things in public and not have to be punished by their employers.

If they can be fired for certain speeches (especially political ones), then it's an issue for me.

I don't need to wait till it actually happens. The fact it can happen at all is reason enough for me to care.

Besides, isn't this dude suspended for stuff he said online? How can you say this doesn't happen.

Do you not see how ridiculous this is

He’s suspended, not fired.

So you think you should be able to say whatever you want with impunity?

Well, obviously people can't slander. But I don't think this basketball dude did that.
