The propensity for being trans is far higher than 1/100,000. Once we stop actively discriminating, I suspect it's going to get as high as one or two percent.
The real issue is that well-meaning centrists are eating propaganda from ben shapiro types who's only real agenda is cruelty. As a result you get people who have never met a trans person suddenly caring very deeply about how unfair it is, even though they never touched womens sports and have no clue to what extent the issue exists.
Are you saying in a world with no discrimination 1 out of 100 people would choose to live life as the oppisite sex of what they were born?
or are we lumping together m2f, f2m, nonbinaries, fem cis males, mas cis females, etc?
honestly i think even if we lump all together you're still off by about 10x, maybe 1/1,000. and the topic is fairly moot, you cant get rid of all that discrimination without the social construct of society influencing more people to be trans than what the natural rate may be. its actually something some gay men talk about, society pushing young gay men into being trans in some cases by misdiagnosis.
