1) Do you even know what was this non-starter offer? This was an offer not only about Ukraine, but also to leave eastern NATO countries defenseless. Its literały like making an offer to disassemble Russia.
2) Ukraine is not Russia, Russia cannot forbid them joining western World. Ukraine didnt want to join NATO in the past to keep the good relations with Russia. Now we see where it led them.

Right now Russia has lost about 40% of their assault army, and have only little reserves to partially rebuild. they are not that far from giving up. Thats how you deal with bad people.
5) if Ukraine were a part of NATO, Russia wouldnt attack them. Russia attacks when they smell weakness. The way to deal with Russia is to stay strong and united, not to surrender to Russia threats.

You also stated they lost 40% of their combat strength on April 21st. So where they at right now according to your logic, 80% losses?
