People slowly killing themselves then ending up costing millions in hospital is a great question. Almost as great as mass-alcohol or fat pre-processed food...

It's not about cigarettes.
They are just the current medium for what it IS about.

A war on personal freedom.
Changing rights to privileges, so they can be taken away.

They use something like cigs, because they know most don't like or care about them.
They will then use that precedent to take what you do care about.

I don't think we can restrict it on corn syrup or not, it's global. This is either total freedom of intoxication and no single healthcare OR common health education, regulation, cost, core.

This can be justified, the other solution is to masively tax the product but there's smuggling issues.

Sounds spooky. Are you equally upset that you can't smoke meth in public?

This is a paradigm shift, but it's not a shift away from personal freedom. The world is shifting away from useless things like "evil weed bad" and towards things like "Real costly societal problem".

We've spent the last 50 years chasing down "the evils of marijuana" because it helped people like Nixon punish his political enemies. The current generations have caught on to the grift and want to tackle real problems.

good and bad.

good; healthier citizens, less pollution, less accidents caused by idiots smoking while driving (distracted driving), less burden of healthcare and less detrimental to those who dont like smoking (2nd hand smoke)

bad: less tax revenue however mitigated through tax savings on health care costs.

It's like you don't understand that something can be presented as one thing.
But in reality it is something else.

I have a candy box that when you open it, there isn't candy.
A toy mouse attacks you instead.
My retarded sister falls for it every time.
You and her would get along.

See, this is really funny, because you were spoon fed the narrative of "they're taking away freedoms" so you assume I was spoon fed the narrative I just gave.

I wasn't. It was completely my own idea based on observation. Nobody made a bunch of propaganda that I sat down and consumed. It's just been obvious for a long time. We've basically got 2 generations (millenials and Z) largely fighting for real societal problems, and then older more powerful generations clinging onto the old ways of doing things (boomers, silent generation). We're the first society to see what happens when older generations retain power for too long, and we're seeing that the results are garbage.
