They changed their stance to test the population's willingness to comply, nothing more.

That 10-15 years includes the time to develop the vaccine and undergo and recruit for all three phases. Due to the extraordinary need the development time was massively cut (also because they were already working on the technology) and recruitment for all phases took virtually no time. Recruitment is a massive hassle for everything. A trial that you could get done in a month routinely takes years to reach recruitment goals. I know this because my wife is actively involved in recruitment and screening for clinical trials and my boss runs clinical trials that I analyze the samples for.

So no, you don't need 10-15 years to look at long-term side effects.

You are cherry picking. It takes 10-15 years from the time you start lab development of the vaccine. If we are making a meaningful comparison then add at least 5 years to the Covid vaccine because the mRNA technology has been in the works for a long time.

I don't need a "defense" for mRNA vaccines being used. They have been in the works for a long time, mRNA treatments have been in active study for a long time. Something being "relatively new" doesn't mean it isn't safe or effective. You are being dishonest.
