Well that was kind of the point, but we live in a binary world nowadays. You're either a conspiracy nut that believes this is all a ploy to stick 5g whatever nonsense or you believe everything the government says and don't even dare question things out of curiosity or for general discussion/debate.
I said it on one of the first pages I believe preventative measures played some role, I'm just skeptical to attribute that to the complete collapse of the flu virus. Most scientists aren't making that stretch of a call but thank god with we have a bunch of pard experts assuring me that's exactly what led to a 99% collapse in the flu rate.
Like I already explained, you only need a modest 30% reduction in spread rate to totally collapse the flu. I'm not an expert, but I'd be pretty damn surprised if Covid measures resulted in less than a 30% spread reduction in the flu.
Hell, if we just reduce the spread by 20% with a starting spread rate of 1.5, then that's still an 82% reduction in total flu cases.

https://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=(sum%20from%201%20to%2010%20of%20(0.85*1.5)%5Ex)%20/%20(sum%20from%201%20to%2010%20of%201.5%5Ex)I'd seriously question the methods of any study that concluded flu spread was reduced by Covid measures by less than 20%.
Now let's assume a really really low spreading flu season. A spread rate of 1.1. And let's assume Covid measures only reduced spread by 15%. This is making as many possible shitty assumptions.
and we still get that Covid measures would have reduced flu spread by 60%
https://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=(sum%20from%201%20to%2010%20of%20(0.85*1.1)%5Ex)%20/%20(sum%20from%201%20to%2010%20of%201.1%5Ex)I hope I've shown that even if we make the absolute worst assumptions, Covid measures are still overwhelmingly likely to have been the cause of virtually all of the drop in flu cases.
