People look at their childhood with rose tinted glasses when it comes to gaming. D2 is a 20 year old game so it simply doesn't withstand the test of time. It was fucking incredible back then but times change.

None of Blizzard's games are "woke" except for Overwatch and it doesn't really affect game play IMO. Soldier 76 is gay but he doesn't make any references to that outside of "I've got you in my sights" when he uses his ultimate. This is a clear reference to gays finding vulnerable targets in a bar.
