If I walk into Safeway, I go in without a mask. Why? Cloth masks are dangerous and far too easy to contaminate, leading to a worse result than no mask at all. And Safeway does not provide masks. If I walk into Walmart, they offer a surgical mask at the door, and I accept and wear the mask. At the "height" of the pandemic, prior to vaccines, I used a cloth mask for places like Safeway, simply to make nonsensical alarmists like you feel better. Now? No.

You personally are not going to get covid if you're vaccinated. Therefore you personally have no reason to continue to worry. Likewise, every other adult, especially the elderly who are actually at risk, is open to vaccination. It is their duty to exercise personal responsibility. If they opt not to get vaccinated, I have no pity for them if they get the virus, and I'm not going to "make them feel better" by wearing a mask, unless that mask is provided free of charge. They (and you) have the ability to get immunized. If they opt not to, that's their problem.

And before you start with the "If it was you who had covid" remember, I did. It was a mix in effect between a respiratory infection and a moderate cold. I'm glad I got it. While I have no illusions that it'll make me "immune" to later mutations, it is likely to make me more highly resistant to later mutations, same as the Flu. Sars2 is scary for the elderly and obese. The rate of healthy working aged adults dying from Covid is so low it's not even funny. The rate of children dying from it or experiencing any negative lasting impact is so minimal as to be laughable.

Before you try to fall back on the "if it was your family members" nonsense. There's a vaccine. Those who're at risk and/or are either worried or haven't already contracted the virus? Have gotten the vaccine. There is no more masking around family. 0.0%. This is NOT 2020. This is 2021. Go. Get. A. Vaccination.

I am NOT worried about the virus. I do not care about you. I will not spend $0.01 on a mask to make you "feel better". Go get the vaccine. It's free. I paid taxes to help make it free for you. The property owner can impose requirements, and has always had the ability to do so. Regarding publicly owned property (state, federal, county, etc.) every court case challenging mandates has been won by the challenger. Governors and Presidents and such have no right to dictate. Laws are written by the legislature, and there is no law requiring masks.

Come spend a week in the US. Take a vacation. Get yourself a free vaccine, go home. I recommend a low crime semi-rural area that still has an international airport. You can kill two birds with one stone, so to speak. You're clearly worried over the virus. Here's a solution that requires very little of you.
