I actually agree with this, since insurance is, by its nature, socializing the cost of things. Thats why I asked you to define "socialized medicine" because if you were using the actual definition then we weren't going to actually have a disagreement.

I think that definition is too specific. By that definition the UK's single payer system wouldn't technically be socialized medicine since a significant portion of their hospitals are privately run.
