looking at what will likely be the most close race, Georgia (which likely also wont make the different electorally if Biden wins literally anything else), we'd need something like 3,000 people there who specifically voted for Biden, who otherwise would have voted for Trump, only because they saw that Biden was ahead in polls.

its silly to think of to me, just has no face validity. undecided/independent voters are unicorns, and NOT in the deep south lmao. the more realistic idea is that polls might affect IF you vote, not WHO you vote for. and IF your guy is behind you're more likely to vote.

trump is unique in this instance. a lot of people soured on him that would have either voted begrudgingly for him or not at all flipped to biden while maintaining their gop-aligned voting patterns elsewhere

this is ancedotal but it does make sense. he really did tick enough people off this year

yes, absolutely. no doubt in my mind that he would have won, rather comfortably even, if covid hadn't happened OR if he had shown even the slightest bit of competence / care / leadership in managing the crisis.

many leaders around the globe received significant political boosts from at least semi-competently approaching the pandemic. this was a golden opportunity for trump to at least pretend to care about america as a whole, and not just his bigoted and ignorant base - but he showed that his political instincts are poor, and that 2016 was a fluke, or at the very least strategised by people smarter than him.
all he had to do is let the experts do the hard work, listen to the scientist, and hand just ONE project not to his equally incompetent son-in-law, trying to make a quick buck out of a global pandemic - but he couldn't. tens of thousands who would have lived under any other president paid the ultimate price for it, but at least trump finally got held to account for his crookery, even if barely so.

their usual position too, that of a coward. can only be brave and bold when someone else is there shielding them. President Trump was their big bright orange Stormshield for four years

oh and if somehow Trump does pull it off lol those senators and their ilk will immediate tuck their tails behind him again

you seriously need to get your narratives straight. it shows you're new to this. cnn are complete establishment shills. they LOVE biden and would never acknowledge that trump would have wiped the floor with him if not for covid. you're making no sense whatsoever there...
