Hmm, that's exactly the time period where the sub got more toxic. Maybe you didnt experience the mood of the sub in 2015 or 2016 or so.

But yeah, perhaps I'm painting too bleak of a picture, it's not like the sub is a cesspool. There's still a lot of helpfulness in the community, I'm just stressed out by the rampant entitlement and whining.

Or perhaps it's on me. Maybe I'm turning more and more into a bitter, grumpy boomer with each passing year.

It's mostly just because there are glaring issues and people get the right idea that probably will never be addressed , so people are easily riled and reactionary attitudes prevail.

Exilecon put some hope in people but I think people are too wishful if they think the game is going to stop going in the direction it has been. They won't even do end league content anymore because it won't make money, they rather just blast out content on the 3 month cycle to hit the numbers they need to. Even more so now that tencent is their overlords. I think tencent is mostly not giving them any real demands but if GGG growth slows down, money talks. And also , the game getting faster and faster has been making them more money so it's unlikely that changes and the reddit hivemind can't accept this and then you even got some people who don't even know what they truly want, they get nostalgic about the game pre 3.0 but they probably wouldn't even enjoy playing pre 3.0 PoE experience now.

Not true, familiarize yourself with mutual exclusivity because you sound like a dumb fuck.

A and B are mutually exclusive

A happened, therefore B didn't happen
but... there is a non-zero probability that you only think A happened, but actually B happened. And if B happened, you are wrong that A happened.

See, you don't actually understand what you're talking about. You just know how to parrot buzzwords without a firm understanding of the underlying indeas. It's why people with business majors think they're superstars and people who do research are painfully aware of how limited their knowledge is. You live every day as a stereotype, the business major who hasn't gone through rigorous training and so they don't have any clue how complicated things actually are. You get the nice surface level statistics education for business majors. You don't understand why or how these things are derived and because of that you don't know where to apply them. You've just been told where to apply them and go with it like that's gospel.

Everyone here can either conform or deny i posted post 65. I don't need 3deep5me parallel universe tinfoil-tier explanations to give a straightforward answer.

You're defying the laws of physics and fundamental laws of logic that have been settled by early Greeks. Like lol.

Explain it to me like i'm 5 years old how someone can fact check a future event, one that hasn't happened yet and deem it false.

I was joking i havent read into the particular topic and dont think it'd be productive to do so either

Yep, that's about what I expected. You aren't capable of understanding so you just start parroting buzzwords.

There is nothing that violates the laws of physics about what I said. It's always a non-zero probability that everybody who looks at post 65 is mistaken about the author. Hell, maybe it doesn't even need them to be mistaken. Maybe it says you posted it but the server glitched out and I was the one who posted it. There are dozens of ways I can arrange things that make your claim incorrect, and all of them have non-zero probabilities.

When your standard is absolutist you lose the ability to draw any conclusions.

the election-denying failed petri-dish licker is arguing that “fact checking” a future hypothetical is a proper exercise

TIL that Obama saying "if you like your doctor you can keep it" was totally truthful because that was in the future and there was a nonzero probability that everyone would keep their doctors.

I do use reddit, although just for nonpolitical hobbies. Discussing anything political on reddit is cancer.
But even on those nonpolitical subs, there's usually one prevailing point of view on any contentious issue, with opposing views being downvoted into oblivion. Perhaps my subs just happen to be particularly toxic....

Nature of truth. There is an orthodoxy and a paradigm. There is a right way until there's another right way and the old right way isn't right anymore. This is the pragmatic theory of truth.

There is also correspondence theory and coherency theory of truth.

A fun thing to do is try to explain truth is without using the word truth or a word that means truth. You get something stupid like 'that which is" as if atomic reality isn't sent through senses and constructed mentally in a way that makes sense to us ie Transcendental Idealism or a weird epiphenominalism or whatever.

Well, if twitter had simply fact checked Donald Trump's claims that he could win the 2016 election as "false" we could have President Hillary Clinton today, rather than President Trump.

Didn't you know that Twitter has all the facts?!

They did let him lie on their platform a lot, and any negative effects is the fault of Twitter for platforming it.

And you're right, they let it on for a long time.

Trump has had a lot of enablers. He is America's abusive spouse at this point.

And his opinion is still there, just fact checked.

This is the guy who's been walking around stating hes taking malaria medicine for no reason at all.

This is also true.

AutismBob will call you names for disagreeing with him, he knows everything, and is very rigid.

Expanding the ability to vote undermines all the voter suppression the GOP has engaged in for decades.

The party that cannot win a popular election does not want you to vote.

Got suspended for this post?

Not sure what is controversial.
