The entirety of civilized, 1st world, countries pay taxes. I'm fairly sure there are opening in those 3rd world countries that don't pay taxes, for those that don't understand the principles involved.

No matter which way you turn it, taxation pays for services/facilities that you use in your everyday life. This is an unwritten agreement between you and whichever jurisdiction you are employed under.
Nobody forces you to pay tax money. If you're unhappy with the taxes you pay, you are 100% free to move to a different country with a different tax system.

Private fire brigades used to exist. Ya know what happens? The price suddenly spikes when your house catches fire and they refuse to put it out unless you pay extra, then it spreads to your neighbirs house. What are you gonna do? Sue them? All your posessions just went up in flames as well as your neighbors, and if youre lucky it didnt keep going and burn down a chunk of the city.

Weve had these private systems before and theres a reason we got rid of them. Injecting profit into certain areas is just a fundamentally bad idea.

Voluntary Those exist. I can think of about 5 off the top of my head that I've worked with.

Its just one example.

Theres certain services that don't work well as private entities. Roads, police, fire departments are some of them

If you think taxes are theft, then don't pay them.

Quit your job, go live in the mountains where no one will ever find you, live off the land, and when you get old don't claim social security or medicare.

If you have kids, plan to birth the child yourself, and when you get sick, make sure you have dug yourself a hole so that your corpse can be placed into it and covered.

If you want to participate in a society where other people have responsibilities to that society, that you benefit from whether you realize it or not, then it should be understood that taxes support that system and you have to pay into that system to support it.
