you'll find this funny. Charlemagne Tha God is an outspoken critic of gun laws, police, etc. I actually like him a lot but disagree with a lot of his positions. Well anyway, after the shooting, he made one of his typical provocative "white nationalist terrorists are the real danger" type political posts, and it was removed by Instagram according to their new and ever changing guidelines.

he then made a post about how his post was removed, and that was removed.

i smile to think he's sitting somewhere after months of supporting censorship driven new guidelines but is only now struck with the idea that it also represses his speech. im sure he's not completely that introspective tho, and will just start rallying for more guidelines targeted only at the people he wants them to be.

Somewhat surprising, but then again Instagram isn't really the right place to spread political messages anyway.

Meanwhile I'm sure if I posted on Twitter advocating for all white incels to be put into concentration camps that I'd not only avoid a ban but would also get a nice blue checkmark.

i think they're trying extremely restrictive rules on Insta for that very reason. you can more easily make the argument for it to be apolitical. then once they work out some of the issues they'll spread it to other platforms. not that it will do anything, just like with the chans it will just redirect the flow to some other platform willing to allow social anarchy.

I remember when 4chan was good at least. At some point it got too popular and was taken over by incels and shills blaming everyone and everything except themselves for their lack of success. The same can be said for 8chan to an extent. /r9k/ was a mistake.

I couldn't give a shit about /pol/ but these guys are fucking ruining /fit/ too now.
