I've been to Thailand. I'd like to go to Vietnam and Cambodia someday.

Thailand is the easiest, with the others you'll find more language barriers depending how you travel... The again that, mostly makes the holidays more of an adventure. I did Vietnam alone, on a $200,- bike, needing repairs/service every 400 km / 250 miles. It obviously broke down at the worst moment, yet everything turned out alright with crazy locals dismantling their own bikes to half fix yours in order to reach the next town 60 km / 40 miles away.

Also bought a communism shirt, had it on in the airplane.. Going towards the toilet a big American approached me: "So.. Are you a commie?"

I lolled ofc: "No man, just when to Vietnam, thought it to be something nice to remember it by".

That's insane but awesome. I agree with snipa.

I wouldn't have the balls for that. I'd assume I'd get mauled by a tiger or some shit.

Published today on the most moderated and trusted french medias:

"How is life elsewhere?"

Americans suffering from cancer fund their care through "online kittens" (weird translation lol)

Corrected google translation in bold

When you suffer from cancer in France, you don't necessarily need to worry about the wallet. Health costs are almost 100% reimbursed by social security.
In the United States, it's far from obvious. Being sick can be very expensive for those who are not covered by a good mutual.

=> which kind of the population is able to pay "good mutual" ?

Patients without a good mutual are often forced to borrow or sell their homes to pay bills of hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Medical expenses are the biggest cause of personal bankruptcy in the United States.

Some use online pools to raise funds to heal. Patients create a personal page on sites like YouCaring or GoFundMe, American platforms for crowdfunding charity.
They write a text/page in which they ask the public to help them.

It's terrible but you have to be an ace of online marketing for money to flow.
You have to maintain the page, add information constantly about your state of health, your treatment, your evolution, put pictures and share this information on social networks.
To hope to reap the most money, one must become popular.

Very quickly, social inequalities emerge. Rich, educated people with a large network of acquaintances more easily collect money than poor, uneducated and isolated people.

In 2018, an association of American doctors denounced the fact that the money of these jackpots online frequently goes to treatments either inoperative, or downright harmful to the patients.
These experimental or alternative treatments have not been validated and would cost tens of millions of dollars every year.

Natural selection victory or vicious circle ?
