My point is, space isn't empty. It's technically incorrect to call it empty.

It has a temperature above 0K, which would be enough of a hint for any physics layman.

some small amount of heat has nothing to do with it
even if you had a vacuum at zero k , there is still a tremendous amount of energy in that space

Now my knowledge is pretty primitive but I thought if you have an area of 0 kelvin then there would be no energy because 0 kelvin meant the absence of all heat(energy)

Edit: And another thing, if it is a vacuum would it have a temperature? It would need some form of matter to have a temperature therefore preventing it from being a vacuum.

particles come into existence from totally empty space
we call them virtual particles , because they normally disappear so fast , its as if they were never there
hawking radiation is based on this
and its been confirmed many many times

space is something , and its full of energy
its just that the energy is averaged out to zero ( +1 , -1 , = 0 )

As far as I know Hawking radiation has never been confirmed, but he surmised that particles are thrown off of black holes due to quantum effects at the event horizon. So, I don't think particles come into existence from totally empty space, as you say they do. That would violate the Laws of conservation of mass/energy.

No it would not, but there has never been an instance of a true vacuum in our universe.

I think this space is not totally empty. Krauss has a lot to say on this subject, but plenty of physicists disagree with his claims.

I imagine there is some sort of perpetual motion energy in space that keeps Helium from becoming a solid when put to near absolute zero. They've already discovered quantum perpetual motion in nano-circuits.

There's more 'empty' space in your body (mostly between electrons and nuclei) than there is 'filled' space.

Though that doesn't change the fact that 0 is a manmade construct that can't exist in reality.

Moot points FTW.

0 is a perfect example of what can exist in reality. Emptiness shows this. 0-ness is a meaning of Shunyata.

Perhaps if reality was objective. I don't really see how 0 or infinity can actually exist except as ways to simply our subjective realities.
