If people want a Christian community, should they not be entitled to it?  Should they not be able to live their life the way they want to without interference of Shintoism?

If people want a Christian community, by all means be Christian. But forcing other people (via the law) to be/act Christian is not only unethical, it is unconstitutional.

WTF, you just told me to DISREGARD THE CONSTITUTION and speak only from an ethical point of view. Now you're bringing it up again!?

Anyway, if the Christians feel that Shintoism is adversely affecting their community, why SHOULDN'T they ban it?

They could just move to another community...or they could try and convince their current community that Shintoism really isn't that bad. That's what we do with ANY law.

Love it, leave it, change it. Those are your options.

...not open to random and unrelated interpretation that doesn't even come close to original intent or judicial explanation . It's no different than pulling a random Scripture out of the Bible and trying to build a doctrine around it .

Banning homosexuality because it is a Christian sin is equivalent to banning bacon because it is a Muslim sin.
