True... The Uyghur people were in the news a couple of years ago with the riots and such, and Chechnya has been a pain in the ass for Russia since ever.

Still the Middle-East is quite important. Not in the least because of the Suez Canal, as trade route or just as a consuming market.

"Muslims" are not a uniform entity and big countries don't base their decision by looking at them as such.
Russia might not want a nuclear Iran for other reasons, China I am not so sure.

Religious zeal in muslim countries is greater than that in western countries so I feel people who believe so strongly in some bullshit religion should not have nukes because they may use them offensively. Not to mention their president's numerable instances talking about wiping Israel off the map.

First I would like to mention that any rational player wouldn't launch an Atomic bomb to a country with atomic bombs.

Second, Nukes aren't design to penetrate moutains or to do hole in the ground.
Nukes actually explode before they hit the ground to create massive destruction and to hit a larger radius.
That said there are conventional weapons that are designed to penetrates holes big enough and then nuke the hole itself or to use some big conventional bomb.

but I must agree with you this not going to be easy.

Anybody can blow up a rock. Not very many can turn that rock into a volcano.

I prefer the volcano.

/e: and i havent voted because the poll is a stupid fucking question. or more precisely, the end of it about gas prices is fucking stupid.

Muslim religion represent about 22% of the world. Radical people are what we should be afraid of.. Not a certain religion. He says he will wipe them off the map as a direct response to the threats about him showing everyone what is in "HIS" country or else. Thats how I see it. How can we decide what he builds? are we the world leader or the country leader? Maybe they don't like the USA, would that give them right to blow us up and kill our people?

I think Iran stands for peace.. We should fear them if they become a world power but still welcome it.. It's not our decision who has what.

Holy shit, I just traveled through a time portal to 2002 and they're saying "You honestly think Iraq would last that long".
Better juice up the delorean, we're going to need more plutoni-

I actually agree with you, after thinking about it further and looking into it more.

IF we actually had a ground invasion, we wouldn't just leave the country in shambles. We would nation build and attempt to install democracy. It would take years.

I still think targeted strikes will eventually be necessary.

We don't need troops in Iran. This war is an economic war and they're barely hanging on as is.

We shouldn't do anything that will unify the Iranian people under their despotic leadership.

I think that is just hype and sabre-rattling.

Iran cannot provide electricity for its people for 24 consecutive hours, I don't think they're splitting the atom next week.

And we can't magically make them forget what they know even if they're close.

Meanwhile the cost of goods and services has risen 200%.

Oh a side note my back hurts so bad I'm wondering if I'll be able to make it to my biology lab.
Hopefully this pain pill kicks in within the next 45 minutes.

Ironically it's this injury that is allowing me to go to college in the first place....I don't feel disabled very often but when I get reminded that I am it's sobering.

That doesn't mean the Iranian government can't still acquire the necessary power and resources to continue it's program.

I was thinking about skipping my first class, but luckily I have to drive a friend to campus anyway, lol.
