You are using lack of information and drawing a conclusion from it. You cannot conclude we get one chance, because, well, there is no information on the subject.

We know that consciousness comes from the brain. When we are born our brain becomes active. When we die we lose all brain activity. Therefore we get only one chance at being sentient.

There is plenty of evidence to suggest that there is no such thing as a soul. Just look at people who have lesions in their brain that cause their personality to change. Wouldn't personality be part of the soul? And, if not, then what is part of the soul? We can artificially create life in the laboratory if we simply have the right tools; there is nothing in biology that states that we cannot do so. There is no such thing in biology as the spark of life.

what makes up conciousness? are we not just an extremely complex network or electrical signals? We are a biological machine. If we artificially create a human and design its brain to funciton exactly as yours does does that make the AI you? Is it artificial anymore or a sentient being? Does that thing deserve the same moral considerations every other person has the right to? Such as life?

i really hate people who give 1 word answers. If you have an opinion fucking state it, but do so logically and at least try to make a valid and strong argument. Don't just be like, "No" and not give a fuckn reason

To have as many followers as possible, he's playing Twitter with the Devil and they're keeping count of how many followers they have.

I imagine the results will tally up in 2012, when the world is due for destruction. If the Devil wins, we're fucked. On the other hand, if god wins, then people will use the term "Bullshit" quite more often.
