Because that "hazard" is a bunch of bullshit. People's distaste for other people's smoking is based in morality, and not simply the fact that it is hardful to society. If I don't have a right to smoke in public, then I certainly don't have a right to drive a car.
It's a bunch of bullshit. It's nothing more than the majority oppressing and abusing the rights of the minority. Smokers
are a minority, and their rights
are being stripped; as are all property owners who want to accomodate smokers in their business, such as bars.
