Giving honor to the victims means we have to take rational steps to ensuring that the mistakes that led to their deaths are not repeated.

I want to see you honor the Muslims who died and the gays who died and the Democrats who died and all of the other people not like you who died. I want you to mean it also. Nothing is more demeaning to the nation and to the dead for someone to point to the victims of 9/11 and attempt to stand on holy ground because of how much they care about those victims while dishonoring the living who are just like them.

irony being it was completely avoidable to begin with. all the passengers had to do was rise up and fight back. taking no action and giving in doesnt make them a victim it makes them losers...sorry but true. its sad that those in the WTC buildings had to pay such a high price because their fellow americans didn't take action.

Turns out that policy about hijackings before September 11th was to allow hijackers to divert the course of the plane, because nobody has used commercial aviation as an instrument of destruction. Typically hijackers were like Dan Cooper, holding hostages in order to make a quick buck. Nobody on the plane saw it coming, the crew and pilot had these orders, and they carried it out.
