That's basically what WaPo is doing here. The man actually laid out 54 specific quotes as evidence and WaPo led with "without evidence" because apparently that's just pasted in with a single button on their keyboard

well, 53 incendiary quotes and for some reason a really stupid harmless one by Gwen Walz that worked its way in there, with her metamorphosing into a human windshield wiper

For example, most cities had some local physical paper arranged by local journalists, paper boys, etc. In my lifetime, almost all of those publishers are gone, or regurgitating the same federated story.

Pseudo decentralized journalism versus high tech federated.

Maybe a better question is how many Americans believe the first reporting on 'news' which is often inaccurate or falsified.

agreed but in some cases like for roswell or miamimall 2024, the 1st reporting is the closest youll get and sometimes youre lucky to even know about it in that way.
