The attacks are getting even more retarded, I saw a newsweek headline about the controversy of J.D. Vance looking at his opponents side of the screen when playing halo 2 in college.

They're not attacks... They are just calling out JD's own hypocrisy and greed. The dude hated Trump. There is plenty of evidence on that. All of a sudden, he does a 180, for no reason, and is called out for it.

They're not attacks. This is holding someone accountable and recognizing the plain as day hypocrisy.

Do we really need a news story that is critical of someone screen peaking while playing Halo, or goldeneye?
Is this news worthy?

Tim Walz literally had a "snitch line" with which Minnesotans could report their neighbors to the authorities if they broke covid restrictions. He also once said that "one person's socialism is another person's neighborliness". Hard pass.

He answered this in a news interview. How is it you people can change genders but not opinions?

President Trump scammed American workers. He promised to bring back manufacturing, raise wages, fix trade deals, close the carried interest loophole, and help small farmers. But everything President Trump achieved were things the Republican machine wanted. We got a tax cut for Jeff Bezos, deregulation for special interests, and giveaways to agriculture conglomerates.

President Trump let the Bush wing of the GOP run all his agencies. His Interior Secretary was an oil & gas lobbyist. His Defense Secretary was a Raytheon lobbyist. His EPA Administrator was a coal lobbyist. His HHS Secretary was a pharmaceutical lobbyist. And his Labor Secretary was a lawyer for mega corporations.

President Trump’s supposed support for farmers ($28 billion) all went to Big Ag conglomerates.

We had the worst rioting and looting this country had seen since the 60s under President Trump. He inflamed racial tensions and didn’t keep us safe. Instead of using federal law enforcement to stop the rioting, Trump thought it was good optics to let Democrat-run cities burn.

President Trump bragged about arming Ukraine more than Obama did. He also walked away unilaterally from the intermediate range nuclear missile treaty with Russia, destabilizing our relationship. He also exacerbated tensions between Ukraine and Russia that ultimately caused a war.

Trump appointed the worst neocons to the highest positions of power in his administration: John Bolton, HR McMaster, and Robert O’Brien. Now, Lindsey Graham is one of his top advisors and likely to be his Secretary of State.

President Trump bombed Syria, killed an Iranian general, and failed to fulfill his promise of ending the war in Afghanistan.

President Trump invented lockdowns. He shut down millions of small businesses and facilitated the greatest wealth transfer to billionaires in this country’s history.

President Trump did nothing to solve the opioid crisis. It got far worse under his tenure while his appointees running HHS were in the pocket of big pharma.

If you think a second Trump term would be any different, you are engaging in wishful thinking.

RFK Jr: "I'm sorry to say that while Democracy may still be alive at the grassroots, it has become little more than a slogan for our political institutions, for our media, and for our government, and most sadly of all for me, the Democratic party."

Kind of amazing how RFK Jr. is backing up what I said.

Uh, yeah, democracy involves political institutions, media, and government. Why are you acting as if these are inherently institutions to oppose? And there's an implication that because democracy is a slogan for those things, it's also something to be opposed.

Does he ever talk about building up and strengthening our institutions? Or is the only point to tear everything down?

I'm curious, do you consider it a good or bad thing that people are capable of getting over their political disagreements and past grievances and work together for the common good?

Personally I hold a lot more respect for JD Vance who can get over it than Mike Pence who cannot. But then again its all upside to me since a Pence presidency was my biggest fear from a Trump presidency

I think grudges are a useful social tool which discourage bad behavior.

Half of these claims are utter bullshit. "Trump invented lockdowns." "Trump exacerbated tensions between Russia and Ukraine that ultimately caused the war."
Trump did help raise wages and strike better trade deals. And so on and forth.

Except when Trump or MAGA-world hold grudges. In that case, they're no longer a useful social tool, they're a "threat to democracy".

Texas went too far with those anti-abortion bills. And if Greg Abbott ever appeared on a presidential ticket, it would be totally fair to bring this episode up. But he isn't. Kamala picked a commie in soccer dad's clothing as her running mate while Trump picked a guy whose only weak point is that he's a nerd with occasional socially awkward tendencies.

Communism is achieved when the state is toppled entirely as an anachronism from a less civilized time.

Walz is a liberal imperialist capitalist who uses the tools of the bourgeois state to protect capitalism from its inherent contradictions and stave off proletarian revolution. He is the antithesis of a communist.
