I could care less about the folks lobbing around the word 'nazi' so willy nilly that they started accusing proud boys of being neo-nazis despite the whole 'black men taking a creed explicitly denouncing racism to join a multiracial group' thing.

America remained a whole lot more nebulous about our support for ISIS during the Obama era. At first the neoliberals tried to sanitize "pro-democracy sunni freedom fighters", but when they started forming their own caliphate we eventually backed off and armed the kurds to kill ISIS, so we can say we explicitly supported the Kurds and that might piss off Erdogan but I don't really care, and our creation of ISIS boils down more to poor strategy and lack of foresight and a few shadowy CIA weapons shipments, more than actual overt support for ISIS against Assad. But we really threw that kind of deniability and clean-hands approach out the window when it came to the Azov Battalion and all those wonderful folks with Swastikas, SS tattoos and framed pictures of Stepan Bandera.
