My point is that legislating magazine capacities is absolutely useless and only appeals to those who have zero clue what they are talking about. It is only brought up when there is a convenient shooting where multiple people are shot outside of the inner city.
We will find out in the coming days that this murder was carried out with an illegal firearm by a previously convicted criminal who would never in 1,000,000 years be given the rights to a legal firearm. We will be forced to deal with the fact that as usual, there is no amount of legislation that will make criminal murderers not murder people.
its a stupid issue from both sides. magazine restrictions wont stop mass shooters or even make them much less effective. and by the same logic there's no reason for gun owners to be butthurt about not having a magazine that size because, using the same logic, it doesnt change effectiveness much and you can still shoot plenty out of a 10 round clip then change to another 10 round clip.
