Throughout history there have been many "tough" times in which during that age the Christian believed what they are experiencing or going through is somehow much much harder or unparalleled compared to as before. The challenges of today i'd agree are different but don't think we're somehow closer to 'man' winning the war on religion.

There has been a tremendous movement away from faith in the last 50-100 years, particularly in the western world but IMO everyday there are new Christians persevering in some of the tougher parts of the world so you shouldn't have this all is lost attitude. China, Africa, parts of Asia, parts of the Muslim world, etc. Personally, I like the authenticity and realness of Sub-Saharan or middle eastern Christians compared to some of the a la carte attitudes you see from people here in North America or western Europe. I guess what I would say is try to look beyond just the bubble of your surroundings. Just because it looks dire here doesn't mean that's what it looks like globally.


I suppose bubble is larger now since everyone is connected. My observation is that the only talking points amongst society come from our media exposure (the news, sports, and sharing vids of "whats trending"). The material contained within doesn't resonate well living a good, honest life. The conversation is lost of our divinity and is being replaced by quick clips without substance or guidance, reaching ever farther. Perhaps, there isn't a direct war on religion, but the material being promoted certainly doesn't follow any sect of hopefulness. You can be told to love, but what is it worth? If you're aren't taught how.

Its alight, but I prefer even greek and nordic mythology rather than middle eastern one. Indian one however takes the cake. Its by far the best quality one

Why do you need a mythological contradictory doctrines from 2000 years ago to guide you? Or for you to be decent human being? Why do you need to be scared with hell and damnation to be good?

You already know how to be good its an observable and practical phenomenon.

Don't steal or kill unless it's self defence and the last resort

The King James Version (KJV) of the holy Bible was first printed in 1611, but the main edition used today is the 1769 version.

When did that Jesus fella die? Your Bible was written by dudes only a few hundred years ago. Lol

the KJV Bible is a translation..... the New Testament was written in Koine Greek, and the Old Testament was written in Hebrew

In the past I've mocked religion for a laugh with my friends, without ever reading it beyond Genesis first 2 pages and some of Quran that was handed to me from a street preacher

What surprises me in the world today, is how mainstream bible bashing has become.
My curiosity is what will be left to guide man if the war on religion itself is won by man.

i became a christian around 7-8 years ago. i have been delivered from my vices, alcohol perhaps the biggest challenge. I should document my testimony, maybe later.
one of the, perhaps surprising things I have discovered is atheists/antitheist haven the foggiest idea whats in scripture. I have tested this multiple times and that statement remains accurate 100%. ya thats how weird it is. you will also find they are almost exclusively hostile towards christianity. even though Jesus was just a dude that went around healing and feeding people.
