Typical America, left and right looking for whom to put the blame on except for making regulations stricter regardless of who is in power to prevent accidents like this in the future.
I knew you guys were declining but the rate is alarming even for my taste.

It doesn't matter what brakes are on a train... it can still be derailed. :/

This might be an oversimplification as im just reading up on this but it looks like the regulations that could have prevented this were opposed by rail lobbyist influencing a republican government under trump who repealed the requirements for better brakes on trains carrying hazardous chemicals

How do we know that improved brakes would have prevented the derailment?

while it is indeed a fact that both republicans as well as democrats (except progressives) are beholden to the corporations bribing them, this is literally a case where republicans (trump admin) REPEALED existing regulations introduced by dems (obama admin). yes, both sides are bad, but not equally so.

so you think corporations bribing politicians to de-regulate their industry, privatising profits while socialising risks and damages, is a good thing? imagine being so brainwashed with partisan bullshit that you can't even condemn blatant corruption, simply because your side committed it...

That's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about the BS website the OP's vid came from.
It's so left leaning, it fell over and is rolling down the hill. :/

People with values get to have opinions, too. I used to get so tired of "why did you link to Fox News?" It was bad enough that now, I will go out of my way to find a Fox link for a story I read elsewhere before linking it.
