The idea being that getting support programs funded when a substance is illegal is significantly more difficult. A red tape issue in my opinion that could have been dealt with another way but this appears to be one way of dealing with it. Will there really be consequences, probably not. Users we're going to use before and will use still. I doubt the fact it's illegal prevented many who wanted to try or use.

We'll see long run but I doubt It will have much impact either way. Cops weren't sitting on East Hastings arresting everyone openly using drugs before. My wife's sister lives next to Gas Town and there was pretty minimal police activity on EH given the amount of open drug use.

Yes western world decay, they promote tools of Satan gays, lesbians, transexual now drug too. Not like not add it to food already, cocaine in coca cold, fetus from abortion powder added to milk and many more!
