And there's really no good fix to this. Some have suggested we mass import young migrants to fill in the gap, but that's short-sighted in the long run, and in the short run we just aren't going to be able to find enough skilled migrants to make up for the deficit. Multigenerational families will need to make a small comeback, costs curtailed, and eventually tax rates might have to rise. As broke as we are, though, our first order to business has to be to get expenses under control. As an aside, large cuts to the budget are unnecessary. If we keep growth down around ~1% per year, we'll be able to inflate away the debt in no time.

While some of this may true, the gop continues to lie to its voters. First they take away roe vs. Wade after saying they wouldn't. Hopefully it's only a raising of the retirement age, and not worse.

How times have changed

I am a nationalist, and talented people are the bedrock of the nation. I want as many educated migrants as we can get our hands on. We've never been an ethnically homogenous nation, so race shouldn't be very important. The only thing that's critical is the primacy of American culture, without that, and we don't have much of a state.
