There is no such thing as a hate crime.

Not sure what your point is. You omitted the most important part of my post.

I didn't look, but I assumed that Wikipedia listed all the details (supposed targets), of hate crimes.
Following that assumption, what I posted of your post, is all that I think needs to be said.

Accusing people of hate crimes, is just reverse racism, because one group of victims is NOT more special than any other group.

It's like all the BS about the George Floyd death. There was a white kid in Texas, about the same time, that died in exactly the same way (no fentanyl).
But that came then disappeared in one article.

A crime is measured, in part, by the presence of a victim--or multiple victims.

You murder someone? Individual crime.

You murder someone because they're Black? A crime that affects a whole community.

I can argue that if you murder one individual who is white, then it's a crime that affects a whole community. Therefore, crimes against white people are hate crimes too? Don't be ridiculous.

Affecting by happenstance is different than being affected by intention.

True. If murder is a hate crime for any group... then it's a hate crime for all groups.

If you go down that alley, then "thought-police" is next.
There's no way to "prove" intention at the time of the crime.

You like to say things that are difficult to understand.

Anyway, what you are suggesting is elevating one group of victims (as in, black ones) over another group (white ones). This isn't right. Murder is murder, regardless of what color the victim is.

There is, if there's evidence of it. No different than any other element of the case.

Not at all. If anyone were to intentionally target a White person for murder because of their Whiteness, then it should (and does) qualify as a hate crime.

The ONLY evidence for "intent" would be a mind reader who was present when the crime was being committed.

I know there's charges with names like... assault with intent to kill or to harm. But they don't mean intent the way you mean it.
Intent to harm would be a way to differentiate someone who punches another person, or takes a bat to them.
Just like intent to kill would be describing someone who used a knife or a gun.
