Literally everything posted so far here is fake, big surprise.
Not interested in debunking every last thing that dedicated trolls like Palasan flood the forum with, but just quickly:
* The number of "a million people detained", which used to be 500,000, then was 750,000, and has sometimes been reported as 1.5 million, comes from a single source. It's a group called "China Human Rights Defenders", based in Washington DC. They went to China and interviewed 8 (eight) people about how many 'missing' they know about, then just multiplied that number by the total number of towns in Xinjiang. How these 8 people were selected is not detailed.
* The claims of genocide are very troubling! Chinese ingenuity is so amazing that they have invented a new type of genocide where not a single person has been identifiably killed, and the only migration crisis is the 300 or so ETIM members that live in Virginia. For comparison, the genocide of the Rohingya resulted in 60% of the population fleeing to Bangladesh.
* Forced labour, ditto. Not a single identifiable case of forced labour. Skechers was accused of having forced labour, they did multiple unannounced inspections and found nothing. All of it comes from intentionally incorrect translations of official PRC documents done by ASPI, a Western state- and arms manufacturer-funded think tank. Co West Pro has done a thorough breakdown here (pdf):
https://www.cowestpro.co/cowestpro_1-2022_-_sept.pdf* There is no mass closure of mosques. As the region has gotten richer, some mosques, like all buildings, have been upgraded to meet proper health and safety standards, earthquake resistance and so on. There are something like 20,000 mosques in Xinjiang.
* That picture of the guys in blue jump suits is everywhere. You see it in almost every news article discussing Xinjiang. It heads the wikipedia article on this topic. Where is it from? It first appeared on Xinhua in 2017, it's a photo of prisoners at a drug rehab facility attending a lecture. Perhaps you disagree with China's drug laws, but there you go.
Everything you read about China from these people is fake. They can't even tell the truth about simple things.
Here's a walking tour of Kashgar. It's fine. I was in Xinjiang and rode a camel 4 years ago
