Literally everything posted so far here is fake, big surprise.

Not interested in debunking every last thing that dedicated trolls like Palasan flood the forum with, but just quickly:

* The number of "a million people detained", which used to be 500,000, then was 750,000, and has sometimes been reported as 1.5 million, comes from a single source. It's a group called "China Human Rights Defenders", based in Washington DC. They went to China and interviewed 8 (eight) people about how many 'missing' they know about, then just multiplied that number by the total number of towns in Xinjiang. How these 8 people were selected is not detailed.

* The claims of genocide are very troubling! Chinese ingenuity is so amazing that they have invented a new type of genocide where not a single person has been identifiably killed, and the only migration crisis is the 300 or so ETIM members that live in Virginia. For comparison, the genocide of the Rohingya resulted in 60% of the population fleeing to Bangladesh.

* Forced labour, ditto. Not a single identifiable case of forced labour. Skechers was accused of having forced labour, they did multiple unannounced inspections and found nothing. All of it comes from intentionally incorrect translations of official PRC documents done by ASPI, a Western state- and arms manufacturer-funded think tank. Co West Pro has done a thorough breakdown here (pdf): https://www.cowestpro.co/cowestpro_1-2022_-_sept.pdf

* There is no mass closure of mosques. As the region has gotten richer, some mosques, like all buildings, have been upgraded to meet proper health and safety standards, earthquake resistance and so on. There are something like 20,000 mosques in Xinjiang.

* That picture of the guys in blue jump suits is everywhere. You see it in almost every news article discussing Xinjiang. It heads the wikipedia article on this topic. Where is it from? It first appeared on Xinhua in 2017, it's a photo of prisoners at a drug rehab facility attending a lecture. Perhaps you disagree with China's drug laws, but there you go.

Everything you read about China from these people is fake. They can't even tell the truth about simple things.

Here's a walking tour of Kashgar. It's fine. I was in Xinjiang and rode a camel 4 years ago :)

It’s a weird life posting pro-China propaganda on a gaming forum.

If you consider discussing the slave labour taking place in China as inherently anti-China instead of anti-slavery that’s your problem.

There is no slave labour in China. Not only is there no proof, it's directly contrary to China's method of combatting terrorism which involved raising the income levels of people so that they have buy-in to society functioning well.

Disposable income has doubled in ten years.

Lol. China combats terrorism in Xinjiang by mass detention / sterilization of the Uighur population, followed by mass import of Han Chinese.

There is no slave labour in China, because China says there is no slave labour in China. Solid argument!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uyghur_genocide

The Chinese government has committed a series of ongoing human rights abuses against Uyghurs and other ethnic and religious minorities in Xinjiang that is often characterized as genocide. Since 2014, the Chinese government, under the administration of Chinese Communist Party (CCP) General Secretary Xi Jinping, has pursued policies that incarcerated more than an estimated one million Turkic Muslims in internment camps without any legal process.

Imagine the traitors to humanity saying / claiming it just doesnt exists ?

Ah, the forced sterilization.

This stuff comes from, again, a single source. Adrian Zenz. This is going to sound like an exaggeration, but I assure you it isn't. Adrian Zenz is an evangelical Christian rapturist from Germany. He does not speak or read Chinese, and he believes he is on a mission from God to prevent the arrival of the anti-Christ, which will be expressed through the triumph of communist China.

He also doesn't speak or read Tibetan, which was his schtick before pivoting to Xinjiang because people stopped caring about Tibet once the world's greatest defender of Muslims - America - turned it's gaze to China's western borders.

So this guy, like ASPI and forced labour, depends entirely on extremely bad translations of official Chinese documents.

You may have seen the claim that "80% of IUDs are in Xinjiang" in the press. You may have believed it, despite that meaning that every woman in Xinjiang would have to get 2.5 IUDs per year. Here's a good summary from a German guy who does read Mandarin: https://twitter.com/abovetheclouds/status/1404918115423633414

TLDR: It's all fake, again. More women are getting IUDs in Xinjiang for the exact same reason more women got more birth control in the West over the past 60 years: they got richer, and they want to work and vacation and have good sex instead of sitting at home having kids.
