I remember in a distant time when the Supreme Court was going to take every opportunity given to put women into the kitchen and possibly shackles. The United States was going to transform into a Netflix special about women slaves (literally every corporate media outlet said this over and over for months). We had to go so far as to allow illegal protests and assassination attempts to convince the judges to change their minds. Women all over the nation were going to die every day in back alley coat hanger abortions (I still have a running open bet to anybody who can show me one example of this) (also see my other thread where one of you guys showed me evidence that women were in fact dying, but inadvertently proved that many more lives were saved with Texas’ new law than has all the women aborted). We were going to live in a world where interracial marriage, gay marriage, and even birth control were illegal. Every justice except one said there is no way this will lead to any of this nonsense, yet many of you still claimed they will jump on any opportunity to hear cases to further their extreme agenda.
I am not sure if you specifically spouted this bullshit, but I am inclined to think you did due to your passionate defense of on demand abortion until birth in my first ever topic on this forum where I posted the bill that would mandate this on a federal level.
In short, we were told constantly, every single day after the Dobbs leak, months before the decision, that all of this gobbledygook was going to become real life ASAP, yet here we are where the justices are doing exactly what they said they would, which is just their job with no radical pro life agenda.
But
literally since the stats the REEEE centric leftist argument is that the supreme court will erode protections for women's rights on a federal level so that states can then remove them entirely on a state level. i dont recall any people saying the USSC was going to go full authoritarian, because they dont make policy, the remove policy. the only other thing that's on the docket is the removal of gay marriage and return to a state's right's issue.
