Don’t think you know the distinction of what a neocon vs a populist is tbh. The establishment republicans and democrats are largely neocons. People like Trump, Bernie, Rand Paul aren’t.

DeSantis has MAGA republican support AND suburban moderate republican support while Trump lost support toward the end of his last run.

It would be logical to push DeSantis if Republicans want a shot

Hillary isnt the Democratic nominee this time so it isn't on Easy Mode for Republicans anymore also
