I have no idea why anyone cares about this relic. Get rid of the entire estate abolish anything to do with old royalty and move on.

most of their most expensive relics cant realistically be sold. no one would likely pay their true value other than oil barons, and having them on display makes massive revenue. same for their estates that are rented out for massive events or host paid tours. they've long falsely pruned their public image just to be a windfall of tourism draw for the country and at this point most of their control over the country is an illusion. they're comfortable but prisoners to their station.

Most expensive prisoners ever. You could just as easily have that tourism and those relics without them. Also, they're prisoners to their station except when they want to fly to Epstein's island.

If that's an argument to keep the royals as royals I don't find it particularly convincing.

I dunno how the rest of the world viewed her but my understanding from where I’m at was a lot of the countries stayed loyal to the UK over their love for her alone. Is this accurate?

Nope not accurate, she was really despised especially in their former colonies.
For obvious reasons of course

Then this has little affect on their military standing?

"sTaHp foLLoWinG mEee !!!11!!1"

imagine clutching your pearls over another country's monarch, lol. is there any authority you wouldn't lick the boot of? relax, the queen won't read my post. no one will be offended apart from narrow-minded monarchists - who i frankly don't give a toss about.

I don't know where you're living but I've spent years in Australia and NZ and everyone I met there loved the royal family.

speculation that i disagree with. plenty of countries have relics from the monarchies. crown jewels, castles, etc. I'd wager that all of Europe combined fails to capitalize on them as much combined as England does.

people go to France for Paris, people go to Germany for oktoberfest, people go to England just to visit 20 different monarchy hotspots. they have an aura that i personally dont think is interesting at all, never have, but many disagree.
