If you remove the context this idea of punishing others for speech is nothing new. It happens in the US where supposed "freedom of speech" is protected- It's protected unless you say something the government has decided is illegal 🙄

in the USA u can get jailtime for running onto an airplane and screaming "there's a bomb on this plane", in norway you get arrested for saying "men can't have babies".

i know people mock free speech in america because of fringe cases where its not absolute, but tbh 9/10 things people get convicted for when it comes to speech either go hand in hand with violence being perpetrated (screaming die f4g while beating a gay person) or something that leads to violence like inciting a riot.



the war for free speech was lost when corporate social media platforms became the predominate place for speech. it will never be meaningfully legislated, nor should it.
