BG isn't less of an American because she's black, or lesbian, or has expressed viewpoints contrary to the mainstream. So let's bring her back. It's not even about her, it's symbolism. We bring home our people, especially if they are famous athletes. I'm not convinced the Russians planted anything on her, and at this point it doesn't matter.

while i disagree with ice's position, the fact that she's a famous american and symbolism go hand in hand. we bail out high profile americans facing punishment out of line with american standards for symbolism. here she'd get a slap on the wrist if anything for the same crime. america doesnt respect foreign draconian laws, imagine if this was iran imprisoning a famous gay american for sodomy. do we just let them toss him off a roof? thats extreme to be sure but still.
