In Poland guests bring gifts and money to the wedding. mostly money as its not very practical to bring a dishwasher with you, and you better make sure that dishwasher fits them,
People know how much a typical wedding party costs (its about 60eur per person) and give as much as a gift. If I dont want to spend money, then I refuse an invitation.
Also those who like you most will most likely give you more than that, so you can cover extra cover like car rental or priest with that.
Of course if you make some crazy things like I dont know, some VIP coming or very high class restaurant or some very elite rings etc, then you will surely need to cover that, as you cant really expect your guests to cover for such things.
