I didn't say it was a racist thread, quit being so triggered. I said spook is a racial slur which is correct if you speak English in the United States. That is a fact not a point of view.

And yes the definition you give is also true. As long as you have developed some sort of object permanence you can understand that words have multiple meanings. What would you call a bundle of sticks?

I haven't used the term spook in a racial sense since getting stuck in the county jail, and don't recall using it prior to that.
Some little black kid that was in on a murder charge and was bragging about it (shot killed man in a car while stealing his phone).
I had on previous occasion told him his skin was so black that not even light could escape it.
He jumps out from a cell door and says Boo! to me and asks if he scared me.
I stood there bereft of what was going through this persons mind, then I said "You Spooked me" and his face got visibly upset by it.
