I advocate the free market without special favors unless specifically signed on by the players. However once you sign that’s kind of the deal you don’t get to complain later unless that’s also in your contract.

Sports are corrupt enough as is, look at NFL stadiums built with taxpayer money while billionaire owners only see profits.

There's no free market in sports because it's in the interest of the owners to make it as competitive as possible. It's one of the LEAST free markets.

If the total amount of money generated by womens soccer is higher, pay them more. If not, don’t. Again I don’t know the specifics. I know the gender wage gap study that everyone touts was based on shit science. They took lifetime incomes and no other factors. Might get pregnant? Well you might not make a company money for 6 months. Need extra healthcare? Well that comes out of the company too. It didn’t include years of service. Just “women made X in their life, men made Y, thus sexism and unfairness.” Small things with large consequences.

Sport is entertainment industry not like a building trade for example. If you fix my roof a woman or a man generally gets paid the same. if you are attracting x10 less people and 10 less revenue for the club why should you be paid the same?
Pay should be on merit, it should reflect skill, efficiency and generated profit/commission of your performance. These fked up communist idiots are throwing all these factors out of the window and applying what's between the legs as the only metric for a job.
There is a deep brain rot when it comes to business practices on these socialist dingdongs. They shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a profession which involves numbers and money management

Professional sports is about generating profits by entertainment. If women's soccer is getting the same TV rating numbers, asses in seats numbers, etc then I don't think a single person cares if they get paid the same or more honestly if they outperform the male numbers.

Success maybe can be replicated but probably not consistently. In a few years if US women are dogshit and barely anyone is watching or showing up to their games then the revenue they bring in would most likely drop but there's not going to be a way to take back and make earnings proportional to corresponding revenue which is actually what being fair means.
