That’s what happens when you expand the government and don’t have controls in place. Capitalism is good, corruption is bad.



This is why I’m for smaller, more open governments. Bureaucracy at some level is necessary. Too much and it’s main goal becomes self sustenance, not it’s original intent. As the global population surges, expect more rampant theft behind closed doors and locked meetings.

And if the government was busy doing its job the corporations wouldn’t be able to get away with it on such a scale. You think all those filthy rich political hacks just happen to all make really really clever stock trades? I don’t. And when a company pays for your campaign you tend to not try to rain justice down on them. Look at all the LA fires caused by faulty equipment, the oil spills that pollute the water. Individuals can be bought off quite easily. When you get a group of them they defend each other and most people don’t have the time or more or energy to fight. I’m still fighting a state for illegally billing me, taking my tax returns, returned it admitting fault, then rebilled me with interest. Even have an email stating the bills are sent in error, still exists on my account, still gonna take my money. It’d cost me more than the value to fight it right now. Also turns out that government agency has immunity to civil suits and I can’t bring criminal charges against them either. Bet the culmination of those events lined a few pockets, and that I’m not alone.

Corruption, corruption, corruption. Doesn’t matter what the rules are if those in power can cheat and get away with it.

If we have a "smaller" government then they can get away with even more. The solution here isn't to increase or decrease government, but to actually assist in enforcement.

Literally everywhere. When we privatize services they turn into garbage. There's a reason why American healthcare is the worst in the world. We turned over all the services to private hospitals and insurance companies.
