Capitalist reforms began in 1978 with the rise of Deng Xiaoping. Smoking rates have since declined. Smoking rates in the USSR were sky high. There's just no good reason to believe that smoking is a capitalist construction, and quite a few as to why not.

Ok, you think that tobacco corporations are not for profit?

I have been thinking on this a lot, and whenever arguments start about this people point to things like stalin's death count of 15 million.
So i started to go over some numbers due to capitalism and lack of regulation and realized tetraethyl lead killed more people than stalin and hitler combined, the tobacco industry spent decades covering up the effects of their products.. asbestos companies like james hardie did the same.
So what is the ACTUAL death toll for capitalism?

Well, American corporate moved all it's manufacturing to Communist China because of Cheap labor and Now Americans are complaining that China is stealing all their jobs because China bad and China is a threat to mankind and democracy and human rights.

Considering socialism/communism has historically (cuba, vietnam, china, laos) always descended into strongman/authoritarian rule under a single party and people are generally oppressed I'd say capitalism takes the win despite its flaws.

If you're gonna go the "that wasn't real socialism/communism" route then capitalism still takes the win as its practical and doesn't depend on fundamental changes in humanity that will never happen

Just look at how many deaths were caused by corporations seeking profits over safety and i think you will find capitalism pulls far ahead, then you have to take the social issues caused into account.

Leaded gasoline is exactly the perfect example that the free market does not react quick enough, or is intelligent enough when enough misinformation is put out.

I agree, but i have seen it so many times now, tobacco, asbestos, cfc's, leaded gas, climate change, it is not an exception to the rule, it seems to be the rule.
