Haha, not sure I embody the 'true American' being a naturalized foreign-born US citizen but okay. Insulin pricing is a pretty complex issue, not that long ago there were tons of articles being written about the fact that there's a global shortage. I know you like to believe the onus of this crucial medicine being expensive is purely on the evil corporations that need to squeeze every dollar out of reliant patients but it's not that simple.
You realize that part of the issue is the amount of regulatory burden placed on drug makers right? There's a monopoly by 3 companies because the regulation make it uneconomical for other companies to try and produce it.
There are projections saying that 40 million people will be left without insulin by 2030. Rich countries subsidizing it domestically for their own people just means that somewhere else a poor pleb will have to do without.
Exactly! If Americans don't pay $5000 a month for Insulin the whole world will go without! There are literally no other systems that can possibly work to create and distribute Insulin, and the government robbing us of the FREEDOM to CHOOSE between paying for Insulin or rent is an affront of freedom.
Truly you have learned what it means to be a true American. I have a hunch it's because of where you come from. You don't exactly see certain refugees becoming true Americans like you have! Hell, some *certain families* came here in the 1800's and still aren't true Americans.
