Words merely express concepts through shared comprehension, and elements of context, formality and stigma may flavor words beyond their flat definition. The underlying concepts, the scientific truths remain unchanged, its the people howling like upjumped chimpanzees who quibble over lexicon.

You just proved my point. Words are more than their literal meaning. Words (and therefore labels) are socially constructed, and gender is no different.

But if you call a rock a rose, it will still remain a rock. It won't start smelling good like a rose does, no matter how many people you can get onboard to start calling it a rose.

You are correct, that what we call something doesn't change the physical reality.

Just like when a male puts on a dress it doesn't change that he's a male. Same as if we allow males to identify as girl and wear dresses it doesn't make them less of a male.
