Russian oil can be fully replaced by the end of the year, it's still in abundant supply across the world so the EU isn't really sacrificing anything to switch suppliers

Gas is more tricky but LNG is being secured from the US and within 2-3 years, <10% of the EU's gas supply will be from Russia

Thanks for the valueable info and ofc thanks to the other posters on commenting no matter what kind of theory. Lets hope nobody hungers or freezes because of bad decisions in politics more than already happening...

Russian gas and oil will stay in the ground and only increase in value and Russians will simply toughen out the difficult time they're facing at the moment.

In the not so distant future the whole world will be drooling over those immense oil and natural gas reserves. If only you knew how many products are made out of crude oil and natural gas you would understand. Spoiler: over 6K products ;)

that only works if there was an actual limited supply, staying in the ground doesn't increase its value unless its "rare" or different than.
