Opposite of racism is considering everyone, brown, black, white, and so on, not only choosing from a group that has been historically underrepresented.

This is pretty blatantly just weaponized anti-racism.

You discriminate for hundreds of years, then when somebody says "hey, we kind of have an obligation to make up for it" you say "BUT THAT'S RACIST".

No, dumbass. It's not. It would be racist to ignore the history and pretend everything is equal now just because it says it's equal on paper.

You can consider history and not be racist by considering everyone simultaneously. What you and skinned are pointing to is just reverse-racism which isn't the same as anti-racism.

Biden did consider everybody. Then he decided to narrow the field based on the historical considerations.

There, your magic words have been disarmed. Be gone with you now.

I don't really think he really considered 'everyone', I think we all had an idea of the target demographic he was looking for. It's whatever though, so far I can't say i have any issue with this woman, seems intelligent enough, her interviews seem okay. Doesn't change that Skinned's logic is pretty crap.

Biden picked who Obama picked...

On July 23, 2009, Barack Obama nominated Jackson to become vice chair of the United States Sentencing Commission
On September 20, 2012, Obama nominated Jackson to serve as a judge for the United States District Court for the District of Columbia

Biden didn't pick shit.

I love how the hang up here is going to be Joe Biden picked an extremely well qualified candidate for the Supreme Court because she's an extremely well qualified black pick.

You're just using the same line of reasoning as people who say "We can't give any kind of special treatment to previously oppressed communities because that would be racist!"

Nah, actively undoing the history of racism is only racist if you're wanting to weaponize the concept instead of approaching it honestly.
